ABOUT DR. BRADBURY

Dr. Bradbury hails from the the midwest, growing up in St. Louis, then completing his undergraduate education in biology at University of Chicago. Moving east he earned his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. During medical school he spent a summer working on the White Mountain Apache reservation and fell in love with Arizona. When it came time to do his residency he turned to the University of Arizona and completed his orthopedic surgery training there in 1993.

The US Navy claimed him for some time after residency and he served as an orthopedic surgeon in Yokosuka, Japan and at their Great Lakes Naval Base outside of Chicago. He then returned to his home town of St. Louis where he was in private practice for nine years. At that time he also completed a fellowship in sports medicine with Dr. Don Shelbourne at the renowned Methodist Sports Clinic in Indianapolis. He served as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and as Chief of Surgery at De Paul Medical Center.

In 2006 the call of the west was too strong to resist and he returned to Tucson. While in Tucson he has served as Division Chair of Orthopedic Surgery, member of the Medical Executive Committee, and Chief of Staff at St. Joseph Hospital. He also initiated the Carondelet Leadership Development Institute. He is a member of American Association of Physician Leaders and has committed himself to improving patient experience, safety, and quality in the office and the hospital. Currently, he is serving as President of the Board of Arizona Community Surgeons.

His outside interests are diverse and include cooking, violin and endurance sports. He has completed 5 Ironman triathlons and numerable other shorter distance triathlons, many marathons, and in 2011 became the first Arizonan to swim from Europe to Africa via the Strait of Gibraltar. He is currently training for even longer open water swims.

TESTIMONIALS

Easy ACL Reconstruction

★★★★★

As a 52 year old male, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go through with the surgery, the pain, and the rehabilitation necessary to reconstruct my ACL. After meeting with Dr. Bradbury, I was certain that I was in the right hands - so to speak - and was determined to proceed with the surgery. I wasn't dissappointed. Immediately after the surgery, I had minimal swelling and virtually no pain. The rehab has proceeded swiftly and uneventfully. Dr. Bradbury exudes a reassuring, calm confidence. He is humble and personable, and spent a sufficient amount of time with me in explanations and answering questions. I would recommend him without reservation.

Great, Thorough, Very Knowledgeable, Communicative, Caring

I located Dr. Bradbury on this website. Johns Hopkins is and excellent school and I was impressed with Eric's comments. I now go to Dr. Bradbury for a chronic issue and he spends time with me, answers my questions thoroughly and in terms which are understandable to laypeople. He is very caring about patients issue, progress and the whole person. I have already recommended him to one friend who has hip problems and, if my parents were alive, Id take them to him in a heartbeat. He is a very good doctor all the way around.

A Great Doctor - Highly recommended!

Dr. Bradbury did arthroscopic knee surgery on me. I went to see him after having a less-than-satisfactory experience at the 'big' orthopedic group in Tucson. His diagnosis was right on the money and he always took the time to help me understand what was going on. My overall experience could not have been better.
